POST-PUNK UK, OH FRABJOUS DAY! What was this, 1985? George Hinchliffe ended up in the Ukelele Orchestra Of Great Britain (q.v.) and Davy Walklett ended up in Smell And Quim, in addition to his solo career as Milovan Srdenovic ... but this is something they did before either of those or both. Or any. Mostly free-improv instrumental music, sometimes hitting the very heights of the Euro-style post-jazz transcendent sublime, like the two wailing 15 minute tracks at the end of the disk... but there's also some lounge-y pop instros for the punters. I don't understand the mix of styles that comes into play here -- either there's a profound underlying concept (or a profoundly silly one) or else it's just a case of "let's do one of mine and then we'll do one of yours."
There's interesting websites that present material about Diz Willis, git ta googlin', ya varmint! And Davy Walklett also recently linked me this link to show me something of... something... that he and they had been involved with: http://server.microlite20.com/451f.org.uk/plastiweb/index.htm . If your mind is blown, now's the time to buy!
