BACK IN PREHISTORIC TIMES, before the invention of digital media, cassette tapes were THE technology for sharing music. It was easy, it was cheap; thousands and hundreds and dozens of people used home-taping as a DIY way of sharing their music with the world. No need for major record labels, no need for INDIE record labels, no need for anything but a little bit of basic machinery and *poof* you were part of the Global Underground Art Scene (tm).
EEEEEEEE Records takes pleasure in reissuing selected bits of that 1980's flowering of peer to peer communication just the way they happened; spanking new cd-R.s that reproduce any old 1980's crap we can get the rights to. Everything from UK artpunk to RIO from Greece (well, not yet on that one) to ambient synthesizer trance-sounds from Australia... to... you name it. Probably even some classic 1980's hardcore, sooner or later.
Most EEEEEEEE releases are issued in limited pressings of 50 copies (except for Harry Zantey). In addition to the label's own copies available for purchase through the mail, I can offer mp3 downloads straight-from-the-web DIY. (So if you want that, people, LET ME KNOW, start demanding.) The FACE IN THE CROWD cassette can be downloaded FOR FREE because them guys is so DIY it hurts, they're like 100% 1977, even today.
Everything was better in the 80's, ask your grandparents. If you missed it first time around, here's your chance to catch up. If you were IN it first time around, here's some things you missed.
